Surface Burning Characteristic of Building Materials
TAG’s products fulfill ASTM E84: Standard Test Method for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials according to customer’s request. The purpose is to measure the fire risk of materials, products and assemblies under actual fire conditions.
FSI is representing the flame speed across the interior surface of a building, while SDI is measuring the amount of smoke emitted by a sample. The standard of FSI and SDI can be referred as table below.
